Guide for Authors

Interdisciplinary Studies of Literature (“ISL”) is an international peer-reviewed journal edited by Professor Nie Zhenzhao, and published by Knowledge Hub Publishing Company Limited (Hong Kong). ISL invites the submission of articles (5,000-9,000 words), shorter essays, interviews, discussions, communications, notes, reviews, and book reviews offering historical, interdisciplinary, theoretical, and cultural approaches to literature and related fields. ISL publishes materials in Chinese and English, and appears quarterly in March, June, September, and December.

MANUSCRIPTS should be sent as e-mail attachments in both PDF and MS Word formats to [email protected]. All submissions must include a cover letter that includes the author's full mailing address, email address, telephone numbers, and professional or academic affiliation. The cover letter should indicate that the manuscript contains original content, has not previously been published, and is not under review for publication elsewhere. A hard copy of the manuscript is required only upon request and mailing address is:

Style (from 2018)

Manuscripts should follow MHRA style as set out in the most recent edition of the MHRA Style Guide (2013: third edition). The full contents of MHRA Style Guide or Articles in Journals are available for authors.

Language

Interdisciplinary Studies of Literature accepts manuscripts in Chinese and English. If manuscripts are written in Chinese, the title, abstract, key words, author biography and references must be translated into English.
